Born in Burundi. Grew up in Malawi, where I lived in a UNHCR refugee camp.
- 2015
Granted asylum by the Australian government and moved to Australia.
- 2016
Founded Hungry Innovators, a non-profit for STEM education.
- 2018
Started the Transition Phase Podcast, interviewing Brisbane entrepreneurs and creatives about how they built their work. It ran until September 2019.
- 2019
Founded Mentors Outreach in Brisbane in August.
- 2024
Started Dzaleka Digital Heritage to archive the cultural history of Dzaleka Refugee Camp.
- 2025
Launched Visit Dzaleka, guided tours of the camp led by residents trained as certified guides. In April, Networking African-Australians took 34 students to a three-day leadership camp at Mount Eliza. Dzaleka Online recorded 17,952 active users across the year.
- 2026
Released the Dzaleka Online iPhone app in July. Open-sourced ATO Lens, Capsule, Capsule App, and UpDeck. Started building DzalekaPay. In September, Ipswich City Council appointed me as an external advisor to its Multicultural Advisory Committee.
